ABOUT Emi Subotovsky

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Emi had a deep appreciation for art since an early age, excelling in creative courses during her school years. However, the complexities of life, led her to pursue a career in law which she practiced both in Argentina and later in the United States upon relocating to New York.

After Emi retired, she rekindled her passion for art and her creative journey unfolded.

Through this path, she underwent a profound evolution from the realms of  abstract expressionism to the precision of geometric Art. As she delved deeper into her artistic practice, she felt an urge to push herself and embrace the world of geometric abstraction, a departure from the organic forms that had defined her earlier works . The structure of geometric shapes became a metaphor for the order and structure she looked for in her own
life, inviting viewers to contemplate the relationship between chaos and order, emotion and harmony.

Emi, complemented her artistic journey with courses at the New York School of the Arts and Art Students League in New York City, and at the School of Art of the Boca Raton Museum and Miami International Fine Arts, in Miami, Florida as well as art coaching with the renowned Argentinian artist, Paula Rivero.

Emi resides in both Greenwich, Connecticut and Aventura, Florida, where she
continues to explore the interplay between intuition and structure. Her story provides an inspiration to those like her, embrace a passion for creating art later in life proving it is never too late to explore the boundless possibilities of self expression.
